Please Note: Alot of the current mechanics have not been finished, and this game should be treated as a demo/vertical slice. The download will be updated in the coming weeks with a more finished product. 
There is currently a game breaking bug at the end of the diner, not allowing the player to pick up the gas canister. This will be fixed soon.

The Last Mile is a narrative-driven exploration and mystery game set during a surreal road trip on an infinite, ever-changing highway. Players will explore the interplay between memory, identity, and relationships as they uncover the truth about their fellow passengers and themselves. The game combines driving, environmental exploration, dialogue, and puzzle-solving with a hauntingly surreal atmosphere.

The player wakes up in an old camper van speeding down a highway that never ends, surrounded by three strangers who seem oddly familiar. As the journey progresses, the player collects cassette tapes that unlock fragmented memories and reshape the environment. The highway and its strange occurrences reflect the unresolved regrets and secrets of the passengers. The ultimate goal is to piece together the past and determine the fate of the group: escape the highway, stay forever, or succumb to its dark allure.
